Privacy policy for users of the twojestudia.pl portal

We limit the information we collect and use about users to the minimum necessary to enable us to provide our services at an appropriate level. This privacy policy applies to the cookies we use on the citizen.gov.pl website ("website").

What cookies do we use?

We use cookies on our website, which contain information that allows us to tailor content to your needs, improve the performance of our website and analyse traffic to our website.

In particular, we use cookies on our website for:

  • to collect anonymous statistics so that we can better understand user expectations and develop the website to make it even more user-friendly,
  • to ensure the correct operation of selected website functions,
  • optimising the website (i.e. adapting its appearance to the most popular devices),
  • advertising,
  • to ensure an even load on the servers,
  • user session handling,

What are cookies?

Cookies (so-called "cookies") are IT data, among other things text files, which your web browser can send to a server each time you visit our website and which are stored on your terminal equipment.

Cookies contain, among other things, data such as the name of the website from which they originate, the length of time they are stored on your end device and a unique number that has been generated to identify the web browser you are using to connect to the website. Cookies often store information that is essential for a website to function properly. Cookies may also store a unique number that identifies the user's terminal device, from which it is not possible to determine the user's identity.

You can find out more details about cookies by visiting, among others, the websites at: wszystkoociasteczkach.co.uk; youronlinechoices.com or in the "help" section of your internet browser menu.

What cookies do we use?

We use cookies on our website:

"permanent" - they remain on the user's device for as long as their lifetime is set or until they are manually deleted. Among other things, they make it possible to determine which users are new and which are returning to the site.
"Session" files - are temporary files stored in your browser's memory. They remain on your device until you leave the website. Among other things, they make it possible to determine whether data should be collected for the current visit or to start tracking a new visit.

The types of cookies used on our website:
Analytical/statistical - cookies from the analytical tools Google Analytics and Matomo, placed on the end user's device. Google Analytics and Matomo receives, among other things, the following information about the user on the basis of cookies:

  • from which sources he/she visited our website (e.g. another website, search engine),
  • which sub-pages he was directed to,
  • to which the services were directed,
  • what resolution he was using,
  • what type of device he or she was using (e.g. computer, tablet, smartphone),
  • whether problems have been experienced while using the website.

The Google Analytics tool is only used on the information pages that the user has access to before logging into their account. The tool is deactivated when the user logs in to their profile.

Cookies do not link to other information about you, in particular personal data. Your IP address is anonymised, i.e. truncated as soon as possible.

What can you do to change your cookie settings?

If you do not agree to our use of cookies or wish to limit the scope of our use of cookies, you can opt out of using our website or change your browser settings.

You can make changes to your browser settings regarding cookies at any time, in particular to block the automatic handling of cookies (in whole or in part). It is also possible for the user to block Google Analytics by means of an optional browser add-on available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, which, once installed and activated, disables Google Analytics measurements on all pages viewed by the user. More information on the possibilities and handling of cookies is available in the settings of the browser you are using.

You must bear in mind that the restriction or exclusive use of cookies by us may affect some of the functionality that is available on our website.
