Recruitment rules for higher education

Appendix to Resolution No. 13/2023 of the Senate of the Pomeranian University in Starogard Gdanski, 27 February 2023
  • Admission to undergraduate studies is based on positive results of the matura exam or matriculation exam or positive results of a foreign examination or positive results of education, confirmed by the document referred to in Article 69(2)(4-6) of the Act of 20 July 2018. – Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574). 
  • Admission to a postgraduate programme is based on a diploma from an undergraduate programme, a postgraduate programme or a long-cycle master's degree programme.
  • Admission to the studies is free of charge. Admission to the degree programme is by enrolment.
  • Candidates who present an ID or passport to verify their identity and data compatibility and submit the following documents will participate in the admission procedure:  

1) in the case of a candidate applying for admission to:  

  • undergraduate studies – a copy, certified by the university or notarised by a notary public, of the secondary school leaving certificate or other document or documents constituting the basis for applying for studies referred to in Article 69(2) of the Act of 20 July 2018. – Law on Higher Education and Science;  
  • postgraduate studies – a certified or notarised copy of the university diploma;

2) a questionnaire containing an application for enrolment and a personal questionnaire with the data specified in § 15(1)(1)(b) of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 27 September 2018 on studies (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1861);  

3) foreigners need a declaration by the candidate that they do not have Polish citizenship during the recruitment procedure; 

4) Two recent photographs of the applicant in colour, took in accordance with the requirements for IDs and passports, 

5) a copy of the proof of registration fee payment (if applicable), 

6) in the event of a change of name or surname on any of the documents submitted during the recruitment process, an ID, a marriage certificate, an administrative decision on the change of name or surname, or a court decision to that effect.

  • Candidates may submit the documents in question to the Pomeranian University during the recruitment for the accurate semester:

1) summer – as decided by the Dean. 

2) winter – as decided by the Dean. 

  • In order to be enrolled as a Pomeranian University student must:

1) Submiss all the documents listed above;

2) Obtain a university admission decision when required (foreigners);

3) Sign a contract for the provision of educational services for undergraduate students.
