Institutes

The scientific activities constitute the teaching potential of the university. W Pomeranian University of Science and Technology on Department of Social and Economic Affairs, There are four Institutes: Institute of Administration, Institute of Internal Security, Institute of Logisticsand Institute of Pedagogy.

Research is the basis for the development of PSW staff and an important element of cooperation with the socio-economic environment. Our mission is the research development of the entire region.
We are steadily increasing the number of publications in high-scoring scientific journals, published monographs and popular science books. Employees of the Pomeranian University are participants in scientific conferences and also participate in national and international research networks.

Institute of Administration

The main areas of scientific activity of the staff of the Institute of Administration are political and administrative sciences and include contemporary political and social ideas, issues of cultural values and their impact on socio-economic life, history of ideas, contemporary legal and administrative conditions of social functioning.

Institute for Homeland Security

The main areas of scientific activity of the staff of the Institute of Internal Security are topics closely related to education and the classes taught, which include research tasks such as: the impact of decision-making games on the effectiveness of training selected elements of the crisis management system, rationalisation of the management of uniformed formations responsible for internal security, selected issues of security management in public administration, contemporary aspects of physical education, health and security or the role of information and intelligence services in security.

Institute of Logistics

The main research areas of the staff of the Institute of Logistics are human resource management, competence management, strategic management for SMEs, public debt, family business management, methods and tools used in business management, and issues related to global and regional development of markets and entrepreneurship. Electromobility, public transport and city logistics are also important areas of scientific development.

Institute of Pedagogy
