Incoming students

All incoming students should be nominated by their home universities. Students are obliged to send his/her nomination to ERASMUS+ coordinator by email: erasmus@psw.stg.pl

How to apply?
All students are required to apply online using our online application system.
Students are required to up load to the online system the following documents:

  • A recent photo (35×45 mm)
  • ID card (for the EU citizens) and passport for non-EU citizens
  • Proof of language proficiency (English or Polish)
  • Health insurance
  • Transcript of Records from Home University
  • Secondary School Certificate for Bachelor degree or Bachelor Diploma for Master degree
  • Students need to keep their login credentials to the online application system. They will need it to access the system when they come to Poland.

Health Insurance
Medical insurance is compulsory for all foreign students.

European Students
To be eligible for public medical services during your stay in Poland, it is necessary to bring your European Health Insurance Card.

Non-European Students
You must enquire in your country what type of insurance will be the best one during your stay in Poland. The most comfortable option will be the insurance which will allow you to get a refund for medical treatment. Please, make sure to settle the insurance matters. It is very important and it will protect you from incurring additional costs. If you do not have insurance, you will have to pay for a medical appointment.

Information for students

Erasmus+ is a programme designed for universities, students and academic and administrative staff. Its aim is to support international cooperation between higher education institutions, enable students to go abroad for part of their studies and placements, promote the mobility of university staff, and provide numerous opportunities for universities to participate in projects with foreign partners.

New Erasmus+ programme perspective 2021-2027

The new Erasmus+ programme is set to become more accessible and innovative, as well as more digital and green. The programme will be central to the creation of a European Education Area by 2025 and will mobilise the education, training, youth and sport sectors for a rapid return to normality and future growth. 

Erasmus+ for 2021-2027 offers new opportunities for learners. Flexible mobility formats will ensure participation from a diverse audience and enhanced collaboration fosters innovation in curriculum formulation, learning and teaching practices. 

Countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme:

  • Programme countries - can fully participate in all actions of the Erasmus+ programme. Their list can be found at erasmus.org.pl
  • Partner countries - may participate in specific actions of the programme, subject to specific criteria or conditions 

Who can participate in the Programme? 

The offer is aimed at students of all majors, studying full-time and part-time (with the exception of first-year undergraduate students), who meet all of the following conditions:

  • are PSW students;
  • have obtained an average grade point average of at least 3.5 throughout their studies to date - placement trip; 4.0 - study trip;
  • have sufficient knowledge of the foreign language(s) in which the mobility will take place to be able to complete a placement abroad or a part of their studies at a foreign university (for studies, a minimum level of B2 is required);
  • they are not subject to a disciplinary penalty at the time of their eligibility for departure and at the time of their departure, nor are they subject to disciplinary proceedings;
  • have successfully completed all periods of study to date;
  • will not be on dean's leave during their mobility.

Eligibility criteria:

Studies

The following criteria will be taken into account in the admissions process:

  • knowledge of the required foreign language (max. 5 points, with priority being given to knowledge of the language of instruction of the course);
  • grade point average over the entire course of study (max. 5 points)
  • the result of the interview in terms of suitability to study abroad (max. 8 points);
  • years of study; priority is given to students in higher years of study (max. 2 credits).

The candidate can receive a maximum of 20 points in total.

Internships

The following criteria will be taken into account in the recruitment process for placements abroad:

  • knowledge of the required foreign language (max. 5 points, with priority given to knowledge of the language of practice);
  • CV assessment, with particular reference to previous work experience, voluntary work, etc. (max. 5 points);
  • the result of the interview in terms of suitability for the placement abroad (max. 8 points);
  • your grade point average over your entire course of study to date (max. 5 points);
  • year of study; priority is given to students in higher years of study (max. 2 credits).

Applicants may be awarded an additional 5 points if they enclose with their application documents a letter of intent or a Learning Agreement proposal from an organisation willing to host the student on a placement. In contentious cases, the grade point average for the entire study period will also be taken into account.

The candidate can receive a maximum of 30 points in total.

 

Departure procedure

Qualified students are advised to find a suitable host institution on their own. The University may provide support in the search for a host institution, but does not guarantee finding one.

Each Erasmus+ scholarship holder is required to take out accident insurance before departure and to obtain adequate health insurance (against medical expenses). Basic health insurance is guaranteed by the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) issued by the NFZ. Detailed information can be found on the NFZ website. You should also obtain information from your host institution about the requirements for third-party liability (third-party) insurance and take out appropriate insurance if necessary.

 

Students may use part of the scholarship to cover the costs of the host country's language course. Participation in the language course must not reduce the length of stay at the host institution.

Before signing the agreement, the student is obliged to provide the Erasmus + Coordinator with a letter of intent from the host institution, certifying its readiness to host the student for the placement and specifying the start and end dates of the placement.

The host institution may require the trainee to submit additional documents (e.g. a criminal record certificate).

The student is obliged to make an account of the placement/study stay within 10 days of the end of the mobility. 

 

Settlement of studies involves the submission of the following documents:

  • a certificate of the period of stay at the host university, including the actual date of commencement and completion of studies, according to the model and in the form prescribed by the University;
  • a certificate of completion of the study programme with a list of the results obtained according to the model and in the form prescribed by the University;
  • Completion of the Erasmus+ Participant Report in the form of an online document;
  • Completion of a pre- and post-mobility language test in the form of an online document on the OLS language platform;

If all the conditions agreed in the Learning Agreement are met by the student, the period of study will be recognised and credited to the student.

Decisions on whether the agreed conditions have been met by the student are made by the PSW after verification of the documentation provided by the student.

In the event of non-compliance, a decision on the extent of the credit shall be taken by the sending University, which may also decide whether the student's failure to comply with certain conditions makes it necessary to repay part or all of the scholarship received.

No repayment of the grant will be required in the event of a circumstance described as 'force majeure' (i.e. a situation beyond the student's control, related to a serious illness or misfortune). In order to qualify a case as 'force majeure' it is necessary to obtain a written agreement from the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme.

 

The apprenticeship settlement includes the following documents:

  • a certificate of the period of stay at the host institution, including the actual date of commencement and completion of the placement, following the model and in the form prescribed by the University;
  • a certificate of completion of the programme objectives of the placement, with its assessment by the placement supervisor at the host institution, according to a model and in a form specified by the University;
  • Completion of the Erasmus+ Participant Report in the form of an online document;
  • Completion of a language test before and after practice in the form of an online document on the OLS language platform;
  • A Practice Diary, kept for the first month of the placement, according to the model and in the form specified by the University - if the Erasmus+ placement is to be counted as a compulsory placement provided for in the study programme;

If all the conditions agreed in the "Placement Agreement" are fulfilled by the student, the placement period will be recognised and treated as a credit for the student's compulsory placement, if provided for in the programme of study, under the terms of the Student Placement Regulations.

If the study programme does not provide for compulsory placements or the student has already completed a compulsory placement, information about the Erasmus+ placement will be included in the Diploma Supplement.

Decisions on whether the agreed conditions have been met by the student are made by the PSW on the basis of verification of the documents provided by the student.

Participation in the Programme will be possible once the PSW has obtained an ECHE Card (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for the period 2021-2027. The card entitles you to implement activities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Information for employees

Principles of academic staff mobility for the purpose of teaching (STA)

Rules of eligibility

The employee's eligibility for the trip is based on the assessment of the Individual Mobility of Teaching-Mobility Agreement, which specifies: the intended learning objectives, the content of the teaching programme and the expected results.

Priority will be given to first-time travellers.

The academic staff member's stay is between 2 and 10 days, excluding travel time. During this time, the academic staff member shall be required to teach at least 8 hours of classes to the students of the host university.

A written contract will be drawn up with each employee qualified for the trip.

The transfer of the scholarship may take place only on condition that the staff member accepts all the terms and conditions of the agreement. These rules apply both in the case of trips with a scholarship awarded and without (trip without scholarship/trip with zero scholarship). The scholarship will be paid by bank transfer in euros to the account indicated in the agreement. 

The employee should receive from the host university a written statement of the period of stay at that university and the fulfilment of the purpose of the trip and the number of teaching hours carried out.

Upon return, the employee is obliged to fill in the "Participant Report" of the Erasmus+ Programme. 

The staff member should be insured (medical and accident costs) for the duration of their travel and stay at the partner university.

Confirmation of the correct expenditure and payment of the stipend to the employee is provided by the following documents:

  • contract between the university and the employee;
  • Individual teaching programme (Staff Mobility for Teaching-Mobility Agreement)
  • a document confirming the stay at the host university, specifying the duration of the stay and the number of teaching hours completed.
  • the "Participant Report" completed by the staff member

Rules for Staff Training Travel (STT)

The trip will be possible once the PSW has obtained the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for 2021-2027. The Charter entitles the PSW to implement activities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Rules of eligibility

The basis for the employee's qualification for the trip is the evaluation of the Individual Training Programme, which specifies: the assumed objectives and expected results of the training provided, as well as the employee's work schedule and tasks.

Priority will be given to first-time travellers.

The trip should last a minimum of 2 working days and a maximum of 5 days excluding travel time. In the case of a trip exceeding 5 days, subsequent days will be treated as a trip with zero funding.

A written contract will be drawn up with each employee qualified for the trip.

The transfer of the scholarship may take place only on condition that the staff member accepts all the terms and conditions of the agreement. These rules apply both in the case of trips with a scholarship awarded and without (trip without scholarship/trip with zero scholarship). The scholarship will be paid by bank transfer in Euro, to the account indicated in the agreement. .

The employee should receive from the host institution a written statement of the period of stay realisation of the purpose of the trip and the nature of the training received.

Upon return from the host institution, the staff member is required to complete the Erasmus + Programme Participant Report

The employee should be insured (medical and accident costs) for the duration of travel and stay abroad.

Confirmation of the correct expenditure and payment of the stipend to the employee is provided by the following documents:

  • contract between the university and the employee
  • Individual Training Programme (Staff-Mobility-Agreement- Training)
  • a document confirming the length of stay at the host institution and the completion of the training programme
  • the Participant Report completed by the employee

 

Principles of residence of academic staff for the purpose of teaching (STA)

The residency will be possible once the PSW has obtained the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for 2021-2027. The Charter entitles the PSW to implement activities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Erasmus incoming lecturers should establish a programme for their stay prior to arrival. The programme should be approved by both parties on the basis of the Mobility Agreement. The MA is approved by the director of the host institute or the Vice-Dean for International Cooperation. 

The lecturer's stay should also be confirmed by a Confirmation of Stay document signed by the Dean of the course or the University Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator.

The lecturer has funds in the form of an Erasmus grant to stay at our university. The lecturer's settlement at his/her own university is conditional on the presentation of the above signed documents.

 

Rules for the stay for academic staff for the purpose of teaching (STA)

Stay will be possible after the PSW obtains an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) for 2021-2027. The Charter entitles to implement activities under the Erasmus+ Programme.

Academic staff coming under the Erasmus programme should establish a programme for their stay before arrival. The programme should be approved by both parties based on the Mobility Agreement. The MA is approved by the Head of the hosting institute or the Deputy Dean for International Cooperation. 

A teacher's stay should also be confirmed by a Confirmation of Stay document, which is signed by the dean of the faculty or the University Erasmus+ Coordinator.

An incoming teacher has funds in the form of an Erasmus grant to stay at PSW. The teacher is obliged to confirm the above mentioned documents at their home university. 

International cooperation at PSW

Internationalisation strategy of the Pomeranian University of Technology in Starogard Gdański

Internationalisation is one of the key challenges and tasks of higher education institutions. In today's global world, it is a guarantor of development in every dimension of a university's functioning. The development of staff, a high scientific and didactic level, is made possible by the constant exchange and multiple perspectives provided by participation in the internationalisation process. It is an opportunity for personal and professional development for both university staff and students. Learning in an international environment is an opportunity we want to provide for students, academic and non-academic staff at PSW. 

The main task of the strategy is to indicate the priority activities during the period of its validity, resulting from the conducted diagnosis of the internationalisation of the PSW, aimed at strengthening the position of the PSW domestically and internationally and ensuring conditions inside the university for the free development of cooperation with the international environment.

Assumptions regarding the implementation of Erasmus+ projects are detailed in the Erasmus Policy Statement 2021-2027. For the purposes of this strategy, international mobility is presented as a tool to strengthen and deepen teaching and research activities and enhance the PSW brand.

EU and MEN PRIORITIES

The PSW Internationalisation Strategy 2022-2027 is in line with the European Union's Cohesion Policy 2021-2027 and the Ministry of Education's Integrated Skills Strategy 2030. In the latter, the following areas of impact are designated, among others:

  • Basic, transversal and vocational skills of children, young people and adults;
  • skills development in formal education - management staff;
  • Skills development in formal education - teaching staff.

Within these areas, lines of action have been identified that coincide with the tasks identified in this strategy. These include. strengthening inter-university cooperation at the national and international level, supporting the skills of foreigners, developing national and foreign offer and improving the quality of internships and placements for management in formal education and teaching staff, popularising national and international mobility of management and teaching staff, strengthening the offer of in-service training in the development of foreign language skills of teaching staff, developing the skills of planning educational projects, managing national and foreign projects and the financial resources of these projects, disseminating national and international good practices of teaching and educational work.

The European Union's Cohesion Policy 2021-2027 includes 5 objectives:

  • a more competitive and smarter Europe;
  • A greener, low-carbon Europe;
  • a better connected Europe;
  • A Europe with a stronger social dimension;
  • A Europe closer to its citizens.

This strategy takes into account the European Commission's priorities in the area of internationalisation in the form of, inter alia, increasing the importance of research and innovation and the use of modern technologies, strengthening the capacity of the SEE for the modern economy, digitalisation, social inclusion, sustainable development and equal opportunities for women and men.

 

International cooperation

International cooperation, as one of the key areas of the PSW, reports directly to the Rector. In creating international policy, the Rector is supported by the Vice-Dean for International Cooperation. The PSW also has an Erasmus+ programme coordinator for higher education. 

The Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, with the support of the Vice-Dean for Students and members of the Education Quality Committee, implements and coordinates tasks related to the internationalisation of PSW. The Vice-Dean for International Cooperation deals with matters concerning initiation, bilateral agreements and international agreements of the PSW, support and organisation of future student and staff mobility, application for EU, NMF and Erasmus+ support funds, monitoring of international cooperation carried out at the PSW, support of PSW staff in the field of international cooperation, advice and dissemination of information in the area of individual scholarships abroad for students and staff. 

Based on the PSW Statutes, the main tasks of the University are (para. 4):

1) the provision of undergraduate education;

2) the provision of postgraduate or other forms of training;

3) providing specialised training;

4) education and promotion of the university's staff;

5) creating conditions for people with disabilities to participate fully in:

  1. the process of admission to the university for the purpose of training,
  2. education,
  3. carrying out scientific activities;

6) educating students in the sense of responsibility for the Polish state, national tradition, strengthening democratic principles and respect for human rights;

7) creating conditions for the development of students' physical culture;

8) to disseminate and multiply scientific and cultural achievements, including by collecting and making available library, information and archive collections;

9) working for local and regional communities.

 

The university performs its tasks in particular by:

1) providing education independently or in cooperation with other entities, including national and foreign universities;

2) Recruiting highly qualified and practically oriented academic staff;

3) carrying out development work;

4) to promote economic development, including in particular through cooperation with economic self-government organisations;

5) cooperation with institutions and national and foreign communities in the development of programmes and the establishment and improvement of methods of their implementation, as well as student exchange and educational cooperation;

6) to promote employment and the development of human resources, including in particular by assisting graduates and students in finding jobs and engaging in activities to improve professional competences and their certification;

7) initiating activities for the benefit of the local community.

One of the most important measures for the internationalisation of PSW is the Erasmus+ programme for higher education. PSW had an Erasmus card for higher education (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education  (ECHE) from 2024 to 2020. In view of staff changes and dynamic development from 2022, the University has begun renewed efforts to obtain an Erasmus + Charter for higher education. The University's participation in the Erasmus programme, due to its recognition and effectiveness in terms of the development of the University, its staff and students, will foster the search for foreign partners for joint research and teaching and R&D initiatives. 

The aims and objectives of participation in the Programme are set out in the Erasmus+ Policy StatementThe Erasmus University Charter for Higher Education (KA103) and the Erasmus Mobility Charter for Higher Education (KA106) are published on the website of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education and Culture, which is updated annually in connection with the submission of applications for funding for mobility projects to Programme (KA103) and Partner Countries (KA107) for staff (STA - teaching assignments, STT - staff training assignments) and students (SMS - student study visits, SMP - student work placements). The PSW, having obtained the Erasmus Charter for higher education (Erasmus Charter for Higher Education  (ECHE) will be part of the European education system and the only such university in the region, which will have a significant impact on its brand as a higher education institution.

Guided by the objectives in the Declaration, the PSW will also be able to participate and implement other Erasmus+ projects such as Strategic Partnerships (KA2) or Central Projects (KA3). Once Erasmus for Higher Education is in place, the Erasmus+ Programme at PSW will be led by the - Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator.  

Another important aspect of the internationalisation of the PSW is the cooperation with the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The PSW plans to carry out projects financed by programmes for institutions (CEEPUS programme, Academic International Partnerships, Modern Foreign Promotion), as well as to support staff and students in acquiring and implementing individual programmes (Poland My First Choice, Personal Exchange Programme for Students and Researchers in Bilateral Cooperation, Gen. Wł. Anders Scholarship Programme for the Polish Diaspora).

International cooperation is also carried out through bilateral agreements and agreements with foreign partner universities (joint organisation of scientific and practical conferences, research and publication cooperation).

Diagnosis of the internationalisation of the PSW

The present diagnosis in the area of internationalisation was conducted through a SWOT analysis ordering the strengths and weaknesses of the PSW in the analysed area. Information collected from the management, staff and administrative staff of the university was used as analytical material. Below are the key findings and strategic objectives formulated on their basis. 

PSW is a small university, but it has staff experienced in internationalisation. In the current structure of the university, qualified staff speaking English and other European Union languages teach in the university's flagship faculties of pedagogy, logistics and administration. 

The PSW has not hosted foreign students to date, but internationalisation builds on the teaching potential and previous experience of staff involved in teaching and research in an international environment. The approach to the internationalisation of science will be built through experienced staff and on the basis of a built and consistently implemented strategy. 

The PSW sees potential in its location in a key location for the Kociewie region, recognising that the internationalisation of the University will influence the internationalisation of the region. It is therefore important to continuously cooperate with the local government and the authorities of Pomerania in order to fully exploit the potential that the PSW and Kociewie will give to the internationalisation process.

The Strategy for the internationalisation of the PSW aims to achieve its objectives in several key areas. The vision of internationalisation, presented in the Strategy, envisages the PSW's participation in the construction of European science and culture. The PSW will become an attractive partner for national and international institutions and will attract numerous students and outstanding scientists from all over the world.

  • Promotion of PSW activities among partners through active social media and academic exchange networks;
  • Promotion of scientific achievements, research results, research potential, scientific offer of PSW by: creating plans for dissemination, communication and use of results in international projects; using access to free platforms for overseas promotion of conducted research, enabling self-communication about one's offer in terms of grants, job offers, events (including conferences and seminars) of an international nature (e.g. NAWA's Research in Poland tool, ResearchGate, AcademiaEdu);

Erasmus+ Policy Statement

Erasmus + Programme Policy Statement 2021-2027

The mobility of students and research and teaching staff, as well as the development of international cooperation in research in the leading disciplines at PSW (administration, logistics, pedagogy) play a significant role in the strategy of the Pomeranian University of Higher Education in Starogard Gdański. It is intended to ensure the University's competitive position in the European Higher Education Area. 

Due to the dynamic development of the PSW, as well as the new staff involved, the University is learning lessons from previous years of operation by setting new goals and making significant changes in the area of internationalisation. 

Education at the Pomeranian University is provided in close cooperation with the external environment, which is an important distinctive feature of the university in the region. Through cooperation and good practice, the PSW connects communities and brings European values closer locally and promotes the Kociewie Region as an important and developing part of the European Union. This is also of practical significance. Domestic and foreign students are taught by scientists and practitioners connected to the region, which shows them the importance of the regions in creating common policies in the fields of science, education and the labour market. All these activities are designed to give students and staff the experience and competences they need to function in the realities of a diverse and changing Europe and modern world.

These actions are consistent with the EC's objectives to create a European Education Area and take into account the three essential elements which are:

  • the wider introduction of English as a language of instruction,
  • creation of study programmes in cooperation with universities from other countries within the framework of European programmes on the basis of agreements with partner universities,
  • Promotion of the Pomeranian University of Starogard Gdański in academic circles in Europe.

Learning mobility (KA1)

Mobility will be developed through the systematic implementation of the PSW Internationalisation Strategy, as well as through the establishment of cooperation with foreign partner universities for the exchange of students and teaching staff. Promotional activities and recruitment of Erasmus+ beneficiaries will be designed and directed by the Rector's Plenipotentiary for Communication, and conducted and coordinated by the University's Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator. 

All information about the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ activities will be disseminated through the PSW website, individual student and staff accounts on the Extranet, social media, information meetings, as well as through the University's organisational units, lecturers and the Student Council. The Erasmus Charter and the Erasmus Policy Statement will be available on the website. During the implementation of Erasmus+ activities, particular emphasis will be placed on respecting the principles of equal access and non-discrimination and ensuring the widest possible access to participation by students of all majors and modes, regardless of social and economic status, gender, race and religion. 

The University operates the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The University also takes advantage of the opportunities offered by ECTS in terms of combining different forms of learning, such as university studies and work-based learning, in the same study programme or in a lifelong learning perspective. The university has an internship regulation that will take into account the possibility of an internship in a foreign institution within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme. The detailed organisation of internships is described in their regulations available on the University's website. A European Student Card will also be implemented at the University.

On the basis of inter-institutional agreements, the academic community will continue to travel to foreign universities, and foreign students and staff from partner universities will be given the opportunity to stay at Pomerania University. All mobilities will be implemented in accordance with the regulations, available on the websites of the sending universities. Outgoing students will be selected on the basis of criteria such as knowledge of foreign languages, high grade point average and the opinion of the faculty supervisor attesting to the student's special achievements and intellectual activity. Recruitment will be carried out twice an academic year, as will the acceptance of nominations and application documents from international students. The process will be carried out through the tools developed under 'Erasmus Without Paper', as well as the Erasmus Mobile App. Recruitment for student placements and internships will take place continuously during the academic year. In the same way, qualification for staff mobility and the implementation of visits of staff from partner universities abroad will be carried out. The qualification process will include an assessment of knowledge of the language of instruction at the host university and the content of the lecture series offered by the university. The detailed principles of recruitment, together with its timetable for a given academic year, will be published on the University's website. Activities related to the implementation of mobility will be complemented by broad promotion of the programme and the benefits of intercultural exchange of knowledge and experience.    

Cooperation between organisations and institutions (KA2)

Erasmus bilateral agreements as well as international cooperation agreements are negotiated by the Vice-Dean for International Cooperation and signed by the Rector of PSW. The university is rapidly establishing further foreign cooperation, which is evidence of its dynamic development. When selecting foreign partners, the university is guided by their reputation, previous cooperation and related flagship courses. The PSW chooses partners operating in Europe, with a particular focus on EU member states, the UK, Turkey and in Eastern Europe (Georgia, Ukraine). The main objectives with regard to academics revolve around increasing the international research and development activities of the staff, promoting exchanges with foreign partners and improving the teaching competences of the staff.

With regard to students of all levels and all forms of study, the university focuses on ensuring access to the teaching process at all levels, especially in the leading areas (administration, logistics, pedagogy) and on improving the quality of the teaching process, expanding the teaching offer in foreign languages, the participation of foreign partners in the teaching process, and gaining international accreditation in selected fields of study.

Partnership for Excellence: European Higher Education Institutions and Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programmes

Participation in the Partnership for Excellence: European Universities will enable the HEIs to develop their educational programmes, promote European integration and values, expand scientific and research cooperation and increase the quality of their research, intensify cooperation with foreign partners, and develop the mobility of foreign staff and students.

Participation in Partnerships for Excellence: the Erasmus Mundus joint master's programme will allow the PSW to develop modern education programmes in foreign languages, increase the implementation of modern tools in education, and raise the level of education in master's programmes.

The Vice-Dean for International Cooperation, Erasmus + Programme Coordinator, together with the Learning Quality Team, will be in charge of the implementation and management of the project with regard to cooperation within the partnership: European Higher Education Institutions and the conduct of Erasmus Mundus joint master's programmes. Cooperation agreements in accordance with the statutes of the PSW will be concluded by the Rector of the University. The Vice-Dean for International Cooperation will refer the cooperation proposal to the Educational Quality Team in order to make an initial substantive assessment of the possibility of such cooperation. The University's Erasmus + programme coordinator will provide students interested in participating in joint studies with information on the requirements for participation in the project, as well as carry out project reporting, collect and control project documentation, and create project dissemination tools. The recruitment and qualification process will be based on transparent, fair criteria and will be properly documented in accordance with national and international law. The Vice-Dean for International Cooperation will be in contact with the project partners during the different phases of the project to discuss the project plan, its development and the difficulties encountered. The Education Quality Team will be responsible for the substantive implementation of the project. At the end of the project, the Erasmus+ Coordinator will carry out a qualitative evaluation of the project.

Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices and innovation partnerships

Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices and innovation partnerships will enable the PSW to carry out research projects with foreign universities, public institutions and research entities. This will enable the PSW to introduce best practices in management and R&D into its daily activities, train staff in the area of innovation, and thus increase its competitiveness in response to the dynamically changing reality, which will translate into the employability of graduates and their functioning in the world.

Support for policy development and cooperation (KA3)

The Learning Quality Team will be in charge of activities aimed at supporting the development of policies and cooperation, i.e. the proper implementation of the Bologna process and transparency and recognition tools. At executive level, this activity will be handled by the Vice-Dean for International Cooperation and the Erasmus+ coordinator.

Through participation in Action 3, the PSW will be able to effectively implement the assumptions of the Bologna process, use the tools of transparency and recognition of education, cooperation with European and international networks and NGOs to jointly organise research and education. This will contribute to strengthening the University's position as a centre for the development of science and education in Europe and in the Kociewie region.

In implementing Action 3, PSW will adhere to the principle of non-discrimination and equal opportunities for all, ensure gender balance, support students and staff from underrepresented groups, people with disabilities and those from disadvantaged groups by applying the University's gender equality and non-discrimination policy. 

Action Jean Monnet

European Union Studies is important for the PSW due to the dynamic development of the administration faculty and the strong cooperation with the Kociewie region. In line with the policy of the European Commission, the PSW develops intersectoral cooperation with local governments, entrepreneurs and NGOs to provide education and research with a strong connection to the Kociewie region. For this reason, the Jean Monnet action will be an excellent opportunity to develop studies in collaboration with European partners.

Due to this reason Jean Monnet Action will be a great opportunity to develop the studies in cooperation with European partners.
