We place a strong emphasis on helping people with disabilities find work and we support students to complete internships, alongside the Internship Supervisor.
The University's building has been adapted to the needs of people with disabilities and, in accordance with the principles of accessibility, the scope of improvements is gradually being increased in this area.The corridors are wide and appropriately marked, and the passageways are barrier-free. Thanks to the lift, people with mobility impairments can without any problems reach the first floor, where the lecture and training rooms are located. The University also has disabled toilets and a ramp to facilitate access to the building. The Pomeranian University is protected and monitored 24 hours a day. Students commuting to classes are provided with parking spaces for their cars (70 spaces in the University's own car park and another 50 in the immediate vicinity in municipal car parks).
A student with a disability may receive a scholarship if they:
A scholarship for persons with disabilities is awarded regardless of the student's income.
For each university, these amounts are set individually. The amount awarded also depends on the degree
of disability of the person concerned.
Since 19/05/2023, the Rector of the Pomeranian University has appointed Ms Marta Kurek – 2nd year Administration undergraduate student for the position of the representative of students with disabilities.
